Polibatam Robot Team Achieved 3 Winners at the 1st Region Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) 2023

POLIBATAM-Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) Robot Team gained another achievement at the Region 1 Indonesian Robot Contest/Kontes Robot Indonesia (KRI), which was held online at BRAIL on 29-31 May 2023. In this event, Polibatam Robot Team achieved the following three categories of winners:
1. Runner-up in the ABU Indonesia Robot Contest Division, with Rifqi Amalya F as the supervisor.
2. Runner-up in the Indonesian Wheeled Football Robot Contest Division, with Hendawan Soebhakti as the supervisor.
3. 3rd Place in the Indonesian Humanoid Football Robot Contest, with the supervisor Eko Rudiawan J.

Based on the Polibatam robot team’s achievements at the regional level 1, each division’s competition performance will be evaluated, and they will prepare to compete in the National KRI at the Universitas Negeri Semarang on June 21-26, 2023.

KRI 2023 is organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center/Balai Pengembangan Talenta Indonesia (BPTI) National Achievement Center/Pusat Prestasi Nasional (Puspresnas), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia. At that time, KRI was first organized in 2003 under the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture.

This year KRI held several competition categories as follows:

  1. Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI); consists of 45 teams with the theme “Casting Flowers over Angkor Wat.”
  2. Indonesian SAR Robot Contest (KRSRI); consists of 93 teams with the theme “Autonomous Legged Robots Post-Disaster Rescue.”
  3. Wheeled Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI); consists of 46 teams.
  4. Humanoid Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI); consists of 18 teams with the theme “Exploring the Intelligence of Humanoid Robots in Football to Improve its Application for the Benefit of Human Life.”
  5. Indonesian Dance Robot Contest/Kontes Robot Seni Tari Indonesia (KRSTI); consists of 34 teams with the theme “Semarang Denok Dancer Robot/Semarang Gambang Dancer Robot.”
  6. Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest/Kontes Robot Tematik Indonesia (KRTMI); consists of 70 teams with the theme “Robo Game – DIGITAL TWIN.”
  7. Indonesian Underwater Robot Contest/Kontes Robot Bawah Air Indonesia (KRBAI) consists of 43 teams with the theme “Autonomous Robot Design Innovation.”

Hopefully, at this year’s National Level KRI competition, the Polibatam Robot Team will again bring home the championship to Polibatam.
