Polibatam Successfully Held Polibatam Industry Festival (PIN-FEST) 2023

POLIBATAM-Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) successfully held the Polibatam Industry Festival (PIN-FEST) 2023 as a form of appreciation for industrial partners who have contributed to supporting education, especially at Polibatam, which was held on Thursday, 12 December 2023.

By carrying the theme “Finalization of the Polibatam-Industry Cooperation Program Design,” it is hoped that it can increase industrial cooperation in achieving Polibatam’s vision and mission, especially supporting the achievement of Polibatam Strategic Performance Indicators related to partnerships.

This can be seen from the achievement of 80 MoUs and MoAs during 2023 with several dominating industrial cooperation schemes, including:

  1. Student & Lecturer Internship Program
  2. PBL (Project Based Learning)
  3. Job Recruitment
  4. Curriculum Development
  5. Utilization of Super Tax Deduction

Various types of collaboration are carried out to align vocational graduates’ competencies with the latest needs of the industrial world. This is also in line with the target for achieving Polibatam Strategic Performance Indicators/Indikator Kinerja Strategis (IKS) for 2020-2024, one of which is targeting the development of quality graduate competencies through increasing the number of collaborations.

This is in line with and supports efforts to achieve 8 IKUs, including:

  • The first KPI is related to the quality of graduates as measured by graduates getting decent jobs and students getting experience outside the campus.
  • The second KPI, the quality of lecturers and instructors, is measured by lecturers doing activities outside campus, practitioners teaching on campus, and lecturers’ work results used by the community.
  • The eighth KPI measures curriculum quality with sub-indicators, including study programs in collaboration with world-class partners, collaborative and participatory classes, and international standard study programs.

In this session, 2 partners who were representatives of Polibatam partners shared their experiences and benefits of collaborating with vocational education institutions. Apart from that, there was 1 resource person from the Industrial Classification Agency who explained the TKDN policy. The event continued with an interactive discussion guided by the moderator.

Deputy Director 3 for Alumni, Cooperation, and Student Affairs, Zaenudin, congratulated the partners who won awards from several categories:
