Polibatam Business Management Department Successfully Holds Project-Based Learning (PBL) Kick-off 2023

POLIBATAM-The Business Management Department at Polibatam recently held the “PBL Kick-off 2023” event, which was held in the theatre room of the Technopreneur Building, 3rd floor of the Politeknik Negeri Batam on Friday, 15 September 2023. The PBL Kick-off event aims to socialize PBL (Project-Based Learning) activities in Polibatam. There will be 14 PBL projects involving 197 students who are members of PBL.

PBL is a learning approach that has driven major changes in the world of education. Through this approach, students learn and apply theory in real projects relevant to their study subjects. Students constructively deepen their learning by applying their knowledge and skills in real-world situations. Moreover, the Polibatam Campus has implemented learning methods using Project Based Learning for the past few years.

Head of the Applied Business Administration Study Program, Mr. Rahmat Hidayat, S.AB., M.AB., gave a speech at the PBL Kick-off event and discussed student activity in implementing PBL projects. Head of the Business Management Department, Mrs. Arniati, S.E., M.Si., M.Ak., Ak., who was represented by the Secretary of the Business Management Department, Mr. Irsutami, SE., M.Acc., Ak., gave a speech and inaugurated the implementation of the Odd Semester PBL Kick-off activities 2023.

“Students involved in implementing PBL projects are required to be active so that the project is completed according to the target and on time,” said Rahmat.

Several lecturers and many students attended the PBL Kick-off event 2023, and several lecturers who attended also served as resource persons to present the PBL activities that would be carried out. In this forum, students participated in a question-and-answer session regarding PBL activities.

In the middle of this event, there was also an entertainment session presented by Polibatam students. The PBL Kick-off Event 2023 closed with the pronunciation of the tagline “PBL Kick-off 2023, Success!” and a group photo session.
