Polibatam and PLN Batam Establish a Partnership: PLN needs Intellectual Students and Lecturers of Polibatam

NEWS-Director of Business and Business Development of PT National Electric Service or PT Pelayanan Listrik Nasional (PLN) Batam, Buyung Abdul Jalal, and the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), Uuf Brajawidagda signed the Business Process Digitization Cooperation of PT. PLN Batam on the 2nd floor of Polibatam Technopreneur Center Building, Thursday (23/6/2022).

Buyung said that PLN Batam has been running the digitization program for two years. All of that certainly requires Human Resources (HR) and a good system in order to produce maximum service to the community. Buyung acknowledged that PLN requires intellectual students and lecturers to analyze and find solutions for various staffing needs, provision of panels, digitization, systems, devices, and others. PLN needs to exchange information and collaborate with various parties. In the future, PLN will prepare services for work performed on a computer, so there is no need to do it manually.

”This is one of the targets of our cooperation with Polibatam. Many things will be carried out between these two institutions, and this needs to be expanded again,” said Buyung. Uuf added that Polibatam is trying to present the majors and human resources required in the Batam industry and nationally. In today’s era, chips are needed for components of TVs, smartphones, refrigerators, cars, and others. Polibatam strives to become a provider of technology and human resources that work on various equipment such as chip manufacturing needed by the industrial world and even for PLN. Many things can be achieved through this partnership.

Meanwhile, the Head of Satuan Hilirisasi Inovasi dan Layanan Usaha (SHILAU) Muslim Ansori said that dozens of national and international scale companies had collaborated with Polibatam. Some are Philips, Shimano, Cladtek, Persero Batam, and others.

”The number of industries that use and accommodate human resources from Polibatam will continue to grow. This is in line with Polibatam’s increasing efforts to prepare human resources, majors, technology, and new innovations that are required by users at national and international levels,” said Muslim.
