Learning Multimedia Content, STAIN Abdurrahman Visits Polibatam

POLIBATAM-Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) became the benchmarking destination for STAIN Abdurrahman Riau Islands on Thursday, 13 July 2023. The delegation was welcomed by the Head of the Informatics Engineering Department, Sudra Irawan, the 2nd Secretary of the Informatics Department, the Head of the Multimedia and Network Engineering Study Program, and other lecturers.

On this occasion, those present were the Head of the Broadcasting Commission Study Program, Ms. Afna, Lecturers, and student representatives of STAIN Abdurrahman. “Thank you for the greeting, we STAIN would like to study in the Multimedia and Network study program such as the animation content in Polibatam. Next year we will create a broadcasting studio at STAIN Abdurrahman,” said Afna. “How do we learn from other tertiary institutions to gain insight, quality human resources, and adapt to the conditions of STAIN Abdurrahman later,” added Afna.

On this occasion, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Department, in his remarks said, “Welcome ladies and gentlemen from the STAIN Abdurrahman Kepri at the Polibatam Campus. Informatics Department’s Teaching Factory is a place for practice and produces products in the field of Informatics Engineering.

“Currently, the learning system at the Polibatam campus has applied the independent learning program, industry practitioners, past learning recognition (RPL), dual system and teaching industry, project based learning, and we have also applied the CDIO learning system. Apart from internal Polibatam ideas, these PBL ideas has also involved external parties, from Polibatam industry partners,” explained Sudra.

Polibatam has a Broadcasting Laboratory starting in 2015. This Lab is used to create content. Polibatam Technopreneur Center Building also provides various laboratory facilities, studios, workspaces, and other supporting facilities with modern designs to support students’ PBL.

Hopefully, with this visit, the collaboration between the two campuses in the Riau Islands will be even better to support the availability of quality human resources in the Riau Islands Province.
