Strengthening Global Synergy, Polibatam Welcomes Visit from PT BIB and Korean Partner Delegation

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) continues to strengthen its collaboration network with industry and international partners. As part of this effort, Polibatam welcomed a visit from PT BIB, together with its management team and a delegation of partners from Korea, on Monday, September 14, 2026.

The visit, held at the Polibatam campus, was warmly welcomed by the institution’s management team. The agenda began with an official welcoming session, followed by a campus tour introducing the delegation to Polibatam’s vocational education environment, learning facilities, technology laboratories, and the Project-Based Learning (PBL) ecosystem implemented across the institution.

Through the visit, PT BIB and the Korean partner delegation gained a closer look at Polibatam’s learning processes, student competency development, and supporting facilities designed to prepare graduates to meet industry needs. The activity also provided an opportunity to exchange insights on current industry demands and explore ways to further develop vocational education in line with technological advancements.

The main agenda of the meeting focused on following up potential strategic collaboration between Polibatam, PT BIB, and the Korean partners. Several areas of potential cooperation were discussed, including curriculum development aligned with industry needs, applied research, enhancement of student competencies, as well as internship opportunities and pathways for graduates to enter the workforce.

Collaboration between vocational higher education institutions and industry plays an important role in ensuring that education remains relevant to the actual needs of the workplace. The involvement of international partners is also expected to create broader opportunities for Polibatam students and academic community members to gain experience, knowledge, and professional networks in a global environment.

Through this visit, Polibatam reaffirmed its commitment to building productive and sustainable partnerships with both national industries and international partners. Such collaboration is expected to contribute to improving the quality of vocational education, advancing innovation and applied research, and expanding opportunities for Polibatam students and graduates at both national and international levels.
