Batam – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) urges all students to carefully follow the diploma photo requirements before submitting their documents. A diploma photo is part of an official academic document that will be used for many years, so its quality, compliance, and authenticity must be ensured from the beginning.

One of the main requirements is the use of a #2C71D6 background color. Male students must ensure that their hair or bangs do not cover the forehead and that the face is clearly visible. Students are also required to wear the official Polibatam blazer in accordance with the applicable regulations so that the photo meets the institution’s administrative standards.

Students are advised to avoid excessive photo editing or retouching. The photo should remain natural and must not alter facial shape, skin tone, or other facial features. Proper photo composition must also be considered, including the position of the head and shoulders as well as the distance from the camera, to ensure a proportional and professional result.

Polibatam also emphasizes that the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create, replace, modify, or reconstruct diploma photos is not permitted. This requirement is important because the photo printed on the diploma becomes part of an official academic document and cannot be changed after the diploma has been issued. Therefore, students are expected to make sure that the submitted photo complies with all established requirements.
