Polibatam Secures Five Gold Medals in the Provisional Medal Tally at PORSENI XV 2026
MEDAN – The student contingent of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has once again delivered an outstanding achievement at the 15th National Polytechnic Student Sports and Arts Competition, or PORSENI XV 2026. Hosted by Politeknik Negeri Medan from July 24 to August 1, 2026, the national event brings together more than 1,500 students from polytechnics across Indonesia.
As of Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Polibatam contingent had secured five gold medals across several sports and arts categories. Two gold medals were earned in archery, while the remaining three came from photography, solo pop singing, and the women’s 100-meter sprint.
This achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and consistency of Polibatam students in developing their talents beyond the academic field. It also demonstrates the ability of vocational education students to compete confidently and showcase their best potential at the national level.
Beyond competition, PORSENI XV serves as an important platform for strengthening relationships, expanding networks, and fostering sportsmanship among polytechnic students from various regions of Indonesia. Through this event, participants are encouraged not only to demonstrate their abilities, but also to uphold the values of teamwork, discipline, mutual respect, and fair play.
Polibatam extends its appreciation to all athletes, participants, coaches, mentors, and supporting parties who have contributed to the contingent’s participation in PORSENI XV 2026.
