Polibatam Robotics Team Makes Its Mark Nationally, Wins Two Awards at KRAI 2026

JEMBER – Students of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) have once again achieved remarkable success at the national level. The Polibatam Robotics Team secured Fifth Place and received the Best Sportsmanship Award at the 2026 National Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI).

Organised by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), the prestigious competition was held in Jember from 9 to 13 July 2026. The event brought together leading robotics teams from universities across Indonesia to demonstrate their capabilities in designing, developing, and operating competitive robotic systems.

Under the guidance of Rifqi Amalya as the person in charge, the Polibatam Robotics Team delivered its best performance and demonstrated strong technical capabilities throughout the competition. In addition to achieving an outstanding result, the team displayed excellent collaboration, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship during every stage of the contest.

This achievement reflects the continued development of Polibatam students as skilled vocational talents capable of producing technological innovations through dedicated research and development. Through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and a strong culture of innovation, Polibatam continues to encourage its students to compete confidently and achieve recognition at both national and international levels.

Polibatam’s Vice Director III, Muhammad Zaenuddin, expressed his appreciation for the team’s hard work and achievements. “Thank you to the Polibatam Robotics Team, supervising lecturers, the person in charge, and everyone who supported the team throughout KRAI 2026. The Fifth-Place achievement and Best Sportsmanship Award demonstrate that Polibatam students not only possess strong technical capabilities but also uphold the values of sportsmanship. May this achievement inspire the team to continuously improve the quality of research, innovation, and Polibatam’s robotics accomplishments at even higher levels,” said Muhammad Zaenuddin.
