Polibatam Robot Team Achieved 3 Champions and 3 Awards at the National Level Indonesian Robot Contest 2023

POLIBATAM-Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) Robot Team made another achievement at the national level of the 2023 Indonesian Robot Contest/Kontes Robot Indonesia (KRI) on Sunday, 25 June 2023. The Polibatam Robot Team achieved 3 champions and 3 awards at the Indonesian Robot Contest.

This award announcement was made by the Head of the KRI 2023 board of jury, Prof. Dr. Eng. Benyamin Kusumoputro M.Eng, at the peak and closing ceremony of the 2023 KRI at Gelora Prof. Sudharto, SH. Universitas Semarang (USM).

At the 2023 National Indonesia Robot Contest in Semarang, the Polibatam Robot team participated in 5 competition divisions and successfully brought home 3 champions and 3 awards as follows:
1. National Champion in the Humanoid Football Robot division.
2. 2nd Place in Technical Challenges in the Humanoid Soccer Robot division.
3. 2nd place in the National Underwater Robot division.

Achieved 3 awards in the following categories:
1. The best design of the Humanoid Soccer Robot.
2. The best strategy for Humanoid Soccer Robots.
3. Underwater Robot Rewards in additional missions.

KRI 2023 is organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center/Balai Pengembangan Talenta Indonesia (BPTI) National Achievement Center/Pusat Prestasi Nasional (Puspresnas) Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia. KRI was first organized in 2003 under the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture.

Expert Staff of the Minister of Education and Culture in the field of talent management, Tatang Muttaqin S.Sos., M.Ed., Ph.D., said that he was sure that in participating in KRI 2023, the participants had given their best efforts in this competition, which was shown by their creativity and sportsmanship when competing.

“Winning is not the only goal because failure is delayed success, do not doubt your abilities. Within you there is tremendous potential. Keep fighting, be enthusiastic, and rest assured that a bright future awaits you,” said Tatang.

“Alhamdulillah and congratulations to the Barelang Polibatam robot team for this achievement, and we thank all those who have helped smooth and prepare the Polibatam Robot team in this year’s KRI competition,” said Hendawan, Head of BRAIL Polibatam.

The academic community of the Polibatam campus congratulates the achievements of the Polibatam Robot Team in the 2023 National Level Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI), which makes Polibatam, Batam City, and Riau Islands Province proud.
