Polibatam Becomes Batam Base Game Developer in Global Game Jam 2023
POLIBATAM-About 30 participants from the Batam Game Developer Team, of course, there were Polibatam students took part in the Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2023 which was held on 3-5 February 2023 at the Polibatam Technopreneur Center building.
This activity is the largest game-making event in the world where more than 10,000+ participants or what are often called jammers have participated in this GGJ. Jammers get together and are challenged to make a game together in the lab for 48 hours. The results will later be displayed to the public and the GGJ page. This event has a mission to build and develop a game ecosystem, especially in Batam City.
“Polibatam certainly supports activities like this, especially since these activities are of an international level. Apart from that, with this activity, I hope to open opportunities for students and participants to be able to develop themselves, especially in the world of Game Developers.” Said Ahmad Riyad Firdaus, Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs.
