Pegadaian Goes to Campus at Polibatam, Encouraging Financial Literacy for Lecturers and Students

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), together with PT Pegadaian Sei Jodoh Branch, held a financial literacy program entitled Pegadaian Goes to Campus. The activity was attended by Polibatam lecturers and students as part of an effort to improve the academic community’s understanding of the importance of financial management and the use of digital financial services.

Through this activity, participants received insights into financial planning, asset management, and the importance of building wise financial habits from an early age. Financial literacy is an essential skill for young generations to make smart and responsible financial decisions.

On this occasion, Pegadaian introduced the TRING Pegadaian application, a digital platform that makes it easier for the public to access various Pegadaian services. Through this application, users can access services such as gold savings, investment, and financing more practically through digital devices.

The socialization session was held interactively, with discussions between participants and representatives from Pegadaian. The enthusiasm of lecturers and students was reflected in the various questions raised, particularly regarding safe investment opportunities, the use of digital services, and financial management strategies for future needs.

The collaboration between Polibatam and Pegadaian is expected to strengthen financial literacy within the campus environment and encourage students to be better prepared to face economic challenges in the digital era. Through this activity, Polibatam continues to support the enhancement of the academic community’s knowledge in various aspects, including smart and sustainable financial management.
