Pak Eko: 25 Years of Dedication to Polibatam, A Legacy in Vocational Education

JAKARTA—Today, Monday, is the first day for us and also the first week for us.
moving forward without the presence of a figure who has accompanied the long journey of Polibatam since 2001.

Today is the first day.
when we truly realize that Pak Eko is no longer physically among us.

However, in truth, he has never truly left.
He lives in every corner of this campus.
In every value that we uphold.
In every great dream that he once instilled.

For nearly 25 years, Pak Eko has built the foundation of this institution.
not only through policies and programs,
but through exemplary conduct, perseverance, and the courage to face limitations.

What we enjoy today at Polibatam.
is the result of the patience, struggle, and far-sighted vision that he possessed.

And today, that responsibility is passed on to us.
We have a moral and historical obligation.
to preserve his legacy,
and to continue his great dreams
in advancing Polibatam and vocational higher education in Indonesia.

Dear colleagues who are blessed by Allah
One day, there will come a time.
we feel tired,
we face great walls,
we feel this path is too heavy.
there may also be moments when we feel like giving up
in carrying out the responsibilities and assignments entrusted to us

But when that happens, in those very moments.
we must remember again the figure, message, and example of Pak Eko.

How he kept moving forward,
despite limited resources,
despite great challenges ahead.

How he continued to believe,
that this institution could grow.
and have a significant impact on the nation.

That spirit.
must continue to live within us.

And every time we begin to doubt,
let the memory of him.
be a reminder.
that we are not walking alone.

We are continuing a great struggle.
may we always be able to preserve.
and continue what Pak Eko has started.
preparing outstanding generations.
delivering excellent service.
for our nation and country, Indonesia.
