Polibatam Students Achieve International Recognition at WECC 2026

BATAM – Another proud achievement has been made by students of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) at the international level. This time, Polibatam students successfully earned outstanding results at the Online Competition World Economics Challenge and Competition (WECC) 2026, organized by Politeknik Negeri Malang.

The competition served as a platform for students to demonstrate their abilities, creativity, and competitiveness in the fields of economics, business, innovation, and research. Through this event, the Polibatam delegation proved that vocational students are capable of competing and excelling not only at the national level, but also in international-scale competitions.

The achievements earned by the Polibatam delegation include 1st Place in the Business Plan Category, won by Lady Alisya Khairel and Team. In addition, Polibatam also secured 2nd Place in the Business Plan Category through Muhammad Daffa Hidayah and Team.

Beyond the business planning category, Polibatam students also achieved 2nd Place in the Research Paper Category, represented by Amellya and Team. This achievement reflects the students’ ability to develop ideas, concepts, and scientific works that are relevant to current global needs and developments.

These accomplishments are a clear reflection of Polibatam students’ strong motivation to develop their potential, think creatively, innovate, and compete confidently at the international level.
