Zabitha Putri, Polibatam Outstanding Student, Secures 2nd Place at Pilmapres 2026 Regional LLDIKTI XVII
Batam – The Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) is a prestigious annual program organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The program aims to identify and recognize the best students from universities across the country who demonstrate excellence in both academic and non-academic achievements.
The regional selection stage organized by LLDIKTI Region XVII serves as a crucial phase before participants advance to the national level. In 2026, this stage was participated in by top representatives from 34 higher education institutions under LLDIKTI Region XVII, each sending their best students to compete in a highly competitive and inspiring environment.
The 2026 Pilmapres selection for the diploma category was held over three days, from Wednesday to Friday, April 15–17, 2026, at the Institut Teknologi Batam (ITEBA). Participants were evaluated based on several criteria, including academic achievements, scientific writing quality, English proficiency, as well as their track record in extracurricular activities and community engagement.
During the announcement on Friday, April 17, 2026, Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) once again achieved a remarkable milestone. Represented by Zabitha Putri, Polibatam secured 2nd Place (Runner-Up) in the diploma category. This achievement reflects Polibatam’s strong commitment to producing graduates who excel not only academically but also in character, competence, and global competitiveness.
Zabitha Putri’s accomplishment is expected to inspire all Polibatam students to continue innovating, developing their potential, and contributing positively to society and industry.
