WELCOMING THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR, POLIBATAM MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION HOLDS “POLIBATAM BERDZIKIR”

BATAM – Welcoming the 2026/2027 Academic Year, the Politeknik Negeri Batam Muslim Student Association (IMMPB) organized “Polibatam Berdzikir” under the theme “Enlightened by Faith, United in Brotherhood” on Friday, August 21, 2026, corresponding to 27 Safar 1448 H. The activity began at 7:00 a.m. at the Politeknik Negeri Batam Auditorium and served as a meaningful moment to welcome new students through prayer, dhikr, and the strengthening of togetherness.

All participants were encouraged to wear white Muslim attire, creating a solemn, orderly, and harmonious atmosphere. Through a series of collective prayers and dhikr, the activity was expected to provide a moment of reflection for new students before beginning their academic journey, while also fostering a strong sense of brotherhood within the campus community.

The Director of Polibatam conveyed prayers and hopes for all new students as they begin their studies at Polibatam. “May the first steps of our new students at Polibatam always be granted ease, blessings, and strength in pursuing knowledge. Let university life become a space to grow in knowledge, character, and care for others. We hope that our new students will not only excel academically, but also develop good character, a strong spirit of brotherhood, and the ability to contribute positively to society,” the Director said.

“Polibatam Berdzikir” also reflects efforts to build a campus environment that is not only focused on academic achievement, but also on character development, social awareness, and a strong sense of community among students. The spirit of ukhuwah, or brotherhood, fostered from the beginning of their university journey is expected to become a positive foundation throughout their studies at Polibatam.

Through this activity, IMMPB hopes that new students will begin the 2026/2027 Academic Year with peaceful hearts, sincere intentions, and a strong spirit of togetherness. “Polibatam Berdzikir” is also expected to serve as a reminder that education is not only about developing competencies, but also about building character and becoming individuals who bring meaningful contributions to society.
