Students of Pesantren Modern Raudatussalam Visit Polibatam to Learn About Technology

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam welcomed an educational visit from Pesantren Modern Raudatussalam, Rokan Hulu, Riau Province, on Tuesday, April 30, 2026. The visit was part of a contextual learning activity aimed at introducing students to technology, vocational higher education, and hands-on learning experiences in a campus environment.

The activity was attended by 69 participants, consisting of male and female students, along with accompanying ustadz and ustadzah. Through this visit, the participants had the opportunity to see how science and technology are applied in vocational learning, which emphasizes practice, innovation, and real-world relevance.

During the visit, the students were introduced to automation systems, robotics, and applied technology developed within Polibatam. They also took part in simple technology demonstrations and interactive discussion sessions with Polibatam instructors and students. The participants showed great enthusiasm, especially when observing how technology can support human activities in everyday life.

In addition to technology introduction, the visit also highlighted the importance of environmental awareness. The students were introduced to compost processing as one of the practical efforts to maintain ecosystem balance and manage organic waste responsibly.

Through this educational visit, Polibatam continues to open learning opportunities for students from various regions. Activities like this are expected to inspire young generations to develop greater interest in technology, innovation, and vocational education, while also fostering environmental awareness from an early age.
