Student Organization Coordination Meeting 2026: Strengthening Synergy, Building Student Leadership

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) held the 2026 Student Organization Coordination Meeting (Rakor Ormawa) on Saturday, 28 February 2026, at the Polibatam Auditorium. The event formed part of the 2026 Student Organization Management Training and Mental-Character Development Program, serving as a strategic initiative to enhance students’ leadership capacity and organizational competence.

The coordination meeting was attended by the Director, the Vice Director III for Student Affairs, all Heads of Departments, the Student Affairs Team, invited speakers from industry and government institutions, as well as the 2026 student organization advisors and board members, including presidents, secretaries, treasurers, and division coordinators. The broad participation reflected Polibatam’s strong commitment to fostering structured collaboration between institutional leadership and student representatives.

Through this forum, Polibatam reaffirmed its commitment to developing student organizations that are not only active in implementing work programs but also strong in character, leadership mindset, and professional governance. The sessions covered organizational strengthening, leadership development, the importance of leadership in the industrial sector, student organization guidelines, the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT), and discussions on student development programs such as Student Organization Grants, PPK Ormawa, and the Student Creativity Program (PKM).

Speakers from industry emphasized that leadership is not merely about holding a position, but about the ability to guide, influence, and inspire a team toward achieving shared goals. Meanwhile, institutional representatives highlighted the importance of a solid organizational structure, effective communication, and a positive work culture as the foundation for sustainable and impactful student organizations.

The meeting also addressed the progress of PPK Ormawa initiatives, the formation of working commissions, and recommendations resulting from commission sessions to ensure alignment among student organizations. This coordination forum served as a strategic platform for synergy between university leaders, academic departments, and students in aligning all programs with Polibatam’s vision as a leading vocational higher education institution. With the successful implementation of Rakor Ormawa 2026, student leaders are expected to carry out their responsibilities with integrity, collaboration, and impact-oriented performance—laying the groundwork for the professional leaders of tomorrow.
