The 2025–2029 Strategic Plan serves as an important foundation for Polibatam in addressing the challenges of vocational higher education amid rapid digital transformation. Accelerating technological change, emerging competency demands in industry, and the evolving world of work require higher education institutions to continuously adapt and provide learning experiences that remain relevant to real-world needs.

One of the key directions being strengthened is the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Through this approach, students not only gain theoretical understanding in the classroom but also engage directly in project development, product creation, and problem-solving activities that respond to the needs of industry and society. This learning process is expected to strengthen technical competencies while also developing creativity, communication, leadership, teamwork, and adaptability.

Strengthening collaboration with industry is also a major part of Polibatam’s journey toward 2029. Batam’s position as one of Indonesia’s strategic industrial regions provides significant opportunities for Polibatam to deepen partnerships with various stakeholders. These collaborations can take the form of curriculum development, project-based learning, internship programs, applied research, technology development, and competency enhancement for both students and lecturers.

Through these partnerships, Polibatam seeks to ensure that the learning process on campus remains closely aligned with developments and demands in the workplace. Higher education and industry are expected to continue building a mutually supportive ecosystem that produces competent graduates while also encouraging innovations that create tangible benefits for society.

The Polibatam Strategic Plan 2025–2029 also reflects the commitment to developing vocational graduates who are not only ready to enter the workforce, but also capable of creating solutions and driving innovation. Amid the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, automation, digitalization, and industrial technologies, Polibatam graduates are expected to continuously learn, adapt, innovate, and contribute to the development of the region and Indonesia.

The journey toward 2029 is not solely focused on achieving institutional targets, but also on building a stronger, more open, collaborative, and impactful vocational education ecosystem. With the support of the entire academic community and its partners, Polibatam continues to strengthen its commitment to becoming a center of excellence in vocational education capable of responding to future needs.

Through the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, Polibatam invites the entire academic community and stakeholders to work together in strengthening collaboration, fostering innovation, and ensuring that every step of institutional development delivers meaningful impact for students, industry, society, and the nation.

Polibatam Greetings.
