Polibatam Welcomes Singapore Polytechnic, Showcases Project-Based Learning and Technological Innovation

BATAM — Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) welcomed an academic delegation from Singapore Polytechnic. The visit offered the delegation an opportunity to learn more about Polibatam’s learning environment, its implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL), and the institution’s facilities and technological innovations.

The welcoming session took place in Theater Room 301 on the third floor of the Technopreneur Centre. The program began with a presentation about Polibatam, including its vision, mission, and academic achievements. The presentation gave the delegation an overview of the institution’s educational approach and its commitment to preparing competent graduates who can compete globally.

The visit included more than a presentation. The delegation also had the opportunity to see how PBL is applied at Polibatam. During a project demonstration, Polibatam students presented and explained one of their featured projects, giving the visitors a closer look at the project-based learning process.

The students’ presentation showed how learning at Polibatam connects knowledge with practical application. By explaining their work directly to the Singapore Polytechnic delegation, the students also had an opportunity to share their learning experiences and project development process.

The program continued with a campus tour. The delegation visited the Technopreneurship Building area to see facilities that support learning and technology development at Polibatam.

The visitors also went to the BRAIL Robotics room, where they watched a demonstration and were introduced to technological innovations in robotics. They also visited the Aviation Hangar, one of Polibatam’s facilities supporting learning in the aviation field.

Throughout the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore Polibatam’s learning environment and facilities firsthand. The tour complemented the institutional presentation and student project demonstration, while providing a setting for both institutions to exchange perspectives on education, project-based learning, and technology development.

The visit concluded with an interactive discussion and a group photo. The event helped strengthen ties between Polibatam and Singapore Polytechnic and created an opportunity to exchange information and experiences in vocational education.
