Polibatam Senate Becomes Poliban Senate Benchmarking
NEWS-The Senate of the Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) Campus received guests from the Senate team of the Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin (Poliban) campus. This visit was held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 in room 301 of the Polibatam Main Building. Polibatam Senate guests were welcomed directly by the Chair of the Polibatam Senate, Budi Sugandi, Ph.D., Deputy Director 1, Ahmad Riyad Firdaus, Ph.D., Deputy Director 3, Dr. Muhammad Zaenuddin, Dr. Iman Fahruzi, Sudra Irawan, and other members of the Polibatam Senate.
The Poliban senate team who attended the Benchmarking were Drs. Siswoyo, MSIE; Dr. Ir. Paula Santi Rudati, M.Sc.; Dr. Harmon, M.Sc.; Dr. Apip Badarudin, S.T., M.T.; Bambang Puguh Manunggal, ST., M.Eng.; Ir. Ali Mahmudi, M.Eng.; Dr. Any Ariani Noor, A.Md., S.Pd., M.Sc.; Dra. Sri Dewiyanti, M.Ed.; Dr. Drs. Ignatius Riyadi Mardiyanto, M.T.; Dr. Iwan Setiawan, SE., M.E.; Muhammad Arman, S.T., S.Psi., M.Eng.
Poliban Senate Benchmarking Polibatam Senate to find out various interesting themes to discuss, including monitoring and synergies between the senate and management and units and departments on the Polibatam campus. Another theme discussion is related to the internship program at Polibatam. Deputy Director 1 Polibatam explained that “Polibatam should not refuse offers from the industry and distribute students with a 1-year internship program”.
In the discussion, it was also conveyed how the Politeknik Negeri Batam cooperation strategy was very fast in adapting to the industry. All projects that are connected to the industry, link and match are more flexible with Polibatam. Further, lecturers are spurred on by Tridharma to encourage lecturer and institutional careers through PBL activities.
In addition to the discussion session, there was also a session to visit the Polibatam campus facilities. Hopefully with this Benchmarking activity, the two Polibatam and Poliban senates can improve their relationship and cooperation for the advancement of these two vocational campuses.
