Polibatam Mechanical Engineering Students Officially Continue Their Studies at Liuzhou Polytechnic University, China

Batam – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) officially saw off students from the International Class of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program who will continue their international education at Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU), China. This program reflects Polibatam’s commitment to providing global learning experiences while strengthening students’ competencies through collaboration with international higher education institutions and industry partners.

The farewell event was held on Sunday and was attended by the Director of Polibatam, Bambang Hendrawan. On the occasion, he encouraged the students to maintain their enthusiasm for learning, uphold discipline, and adapt well to a different academic and cultural environment while studying in China. He also reminded them to uphold the good reputation of Polibatam as representatives of the institution in an international setting.

The farewell took place in a warm and proud atmosphere. A joint prayer was also held to wish the students a safe journey, smooth studies, and success throughout their time in China. The opportunity to study abroad is expected to become a valuable experience that supports the students’ academic, professional, and personal development.

Following their journey, all students have safely arrived at the Liuzhou Polytechnic University campus. They were warmly welcomed by the host institution and are now preparing to adapt to their new academic environment and begin their study activities.

The program is part of a strategic collaboration between Polibatam and LZPU through a 1+1+1 education scheme. Under this scheme, students complete one year of initial study at Polibatam, continue with one year of academic study at LZPU, and then undertake a one-year industrial internship program in China. The scheme is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of academic learning and direct industry experience.

Through this international program, students are expected to gain new knowledge and skills in Mechanical Engineering, broaden their global perspectives, strengthen their ability to adapt in an international environment, and obtain valuable industry experience to support their future careers. The collaboration between Polibatam and LZPU also represents an important step in expanding international networks and creating wider global learning opportunities for Polibatam students.
