Polibatam Holds Competency Assessor Training and Certification to Strengthen LSP Human Resource Quality

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), through its Professional Certification Institute (LSP), held a Competency Assessor Training and Certification program from May 4 to 8, 2026. This activity served as a strategic initiative to improve the quality of human resources, particularly in the field of competency assessment based on national standards.

The training was attended by two classes with a total of 42 participants, consisting of lecturers and educational staff within Polibatam. The program was officially opened on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Room 82, Tower A, with remarks delivered by the Director of Polibatam, Bambang Hendrawan.

In his remarks, he emphasized the important role of competency assessors in ensuring the quality of vocational education graduates in accordance with industry needs. This program is also expected to strengthen Polibatam’s internal capacity to conduct competency assessments in a professional and credible manner.

During the training, participants were divided into two classes. Class 1 consisted of 21 participants, with Tri Darawanti Roesfian and Novi Fitria serving as Master Assessor Trainers from May 4 to 7, 2026. Meanwhile, Sri Suryani and Rian Trikomara served as Master Assessor Examiners on May 8, 2026.

Class 2 also consisted of 21 participants, with Tiny Agustini Koesmawati and Darmansyah serving as Master Assessor Trainers from May 4 to 7, 2026. Meanwhile, Sylvi and Rosalina Hutahaean served as Master Assessor Examiners on May 8, 2026.

Throughout the program, participants received training on competency assessment methodology, the development of assessment instruments, and competency assessment practices in accordance with established standards. The program concluded with a competency assessor certification assessment on the final day.

Through this activity, Polibatam reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening a competency-based vocational education ecosystem and supporting the development of highly qualified graduates who are work-ready and competitive.
