Polibatam Holds 2026 National Education Day Flag Ceremony, Strengthening Collective Commitment to Quality Education
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) commemorated the 2026 National Education Day through a flag ceremony held on Monday, May 4, 2026, in front of the Main Building. The ceremony was attended by lecturers and education staff as a form of collective commitment to advancing education in Indonesia.
The ceremony was organized in accordance with Circular Letter of the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Number 998/DST/A5/TU.02.03/2026 concerning the Guidelines for the Commemoration of National Education Day 2026. Carrying the theme “Strengthening Universal Participation to Realize Quality Education for All,” the event emphasized the importance of collaboration among all elements of the nation in providing inclusive and high-quality education.
Serving as the ceremony inspector, Polibatam Director Bambang Hendrawan delivered a message highlighting the strategic role of education in shaping the nation’s future. In his remarks, he encouraged the entire academic community to continue taking an active part in creating sustainable educational transformation that remains relevant to the needs of the times.
The ceremony took place solemnly and orderly, beginning with the arrival of the ceremony commander and the ceremony inspector, followed by the raising of the Indonesian national flag accompanied by the national anthem, Indonesia Raya. The agenda also included a moment of silence, the recitation of Pancasila, and the reading of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.
The ceremony concluded with the message from the ceremony inspector, the singing of a national song, the reading of a prayer, and the official closing by the ceremony commander.
Through this commemoration, Polibatam reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of education, encouraging innovation, and strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders. This commitment is in line with Polibatam’s role as a vocational higher education institution that is oriented toward industry needs and global developments.
