Polibatam Finance Week 2026 Equips Students with Financial Market Literacy
Batam – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) continues to promote financial literacy among students through Polibatam Finance Week (PFW) 2026, carrying the theme “Public Lecture on Basic Financial Understanding through the Financial Market School.” The activity serves as one of Polibatam’s efforts to equip students with fundamental knowledge of finance, investment, and the capital market from the beginning of their academic journey.
PFW 2026 was held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Politeknik Negeri Batam. The event was attended by first-semester students of the Department of Business Management and was conducted in two sessions, in the morning and evening. Participants were also accompanied by mentors to support their introduction to various investment instruments and basic concepts of financial markets.
The main session was delivered by Reinhard Samuel Silitonga, Deputy Head of the Riau Islands Regional Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Through the presentation, students gained insights into basic financial concepts, an introduction to the capital market, and the importance of understanding investment instruments wisely and responsibly.
The event was opened by Riyadi Aprayuda, Director of the Polibatam Investment Gallery and a representative lecturer from the Department of Business Management. Through this activity, students were encouraged not only to understand financial concepts theoretically, but also to connect them with academic learning, personal financial management, and practical knowledge of investment.

Polibatam Finance Week 2026 also provided students with an opportunity to understand the importance of analyzing business performance and making financial decisions based on accurate and relevant information. This knowledge is expected to become an important foundation for students as they prepare for professional careers and develop better personal financial planning in the future.
The activity also involved the Polibatam Capital Market Study Group (KSPM) as a platform for learning and developing students’ knowledge of the capital market within the campus environment. Through KSPM, students are expected to continue expanding their financial and investment literacy through various educational and practical activities.
Through the implementation of PFW 2026, Polibatam continues to strengthen vocational education that is relevant to the needs of the professional world. Students are expected not only to develop academic competence and skills in their respective fields, but also to build awareness of how to understand, manage, and plan their finances more wisely from an early stage.
