Polibatam Conducts 2026 ISO Surveillance Audit, Reinforcing Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) commenced its 2026 ISO Surveillance Audit with an opening meeting held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The external audit is being conducted over three days, from August 11–13, 2026, as part of Polibatam’s annual evaluation process to ensure that its quality management system continues to be implemented consistently across all departments and work units.
In his remarks, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam emphasized that the implementation of a quality management system has been part of Polibatam’s institutional journey for more than 20 years. He encouraged all units to maintain this commitment while continuously improving their respective management practices.
“We have been implementing this system for more than 20 years. I hope we can continue to maintain it while consistently improving the management practices within each unit. The quality standards we have built must be preserved and further strengthened throughout Polibatam,” said the Director of Polibatam.
Meanwhile, ISO Auditor Elsi Julianta Ginting explained that the audit team would carry out the external audit over the three-day period in accordance with the established schedule. The audit process includes a review of required forms, records, and supporting documents across various departments and work units at Polibatam.
She noted that the surveillance audit is conducted annually to ensure that the management system remains consistently implemented and continuously developed. This year’s audit also places attention on emerging global issues, including climate change, which will be discussed in relation to its relevance to the institution’s organizational context and management practices.
The opening session also included information regarding the development of ISO 9001:2026, which is expected to be introduced in September 2026.
Through the 2026 ISO Surveillance Audit, Polibatam aims to maintain the consistent implementation of its quality management system, identify opportunities for improvement, and further strengthen a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the institution.
