Polibatam and BRIN Sign Cooperation Agreement on AI Model Development to Optimize Rocket Propulsion Design

Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has once again strengthened its strategic research collaboration through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Research Center for Rocket Technology, under the Aeronautics and Space Research Organization of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The signing ceremony was held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Polibatam.

The event was attended by the Head of BRIN’s Research Center for Rocket Technology, Dr. Arif Nur Hakim, M.Eng., and his team, along with the Director of Polibatam, Bambang Hendrawan, and Polibatam representatives. This cooperation agreement marks an important step in strengthening synergy between vocational higher education institutions and national research agencies.

The agreement focuses on the research and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to optimize rocket propulsion design. This collaboration is expected to support applied research, advance strategic technology development, and open wider opportunities for Polibatam to contribute to the aeronautics and space sector.
