Lenovo and Polibatam Strengthen Industry–Campus Synergy to Advance AI and Emerging Technologies
Batam – Thursday, 19 February 2026 – Lenovo Indonesia, represented by Henricus Limpat, Argo Enterprise Manager, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the education sector in growing in alignment with industry demands. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and the workforce by strengthening an integrated, adaptive, and accessible technology ecosystem.
The event was attended by the management board of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), Heads of Departments, and Heads of Laboratories. The industry delegation was warmly welcomed by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam, Bambang Hendrawan, who emphasized the importance of advanced computing technology in enhancing learning processes and applied research within the campus environment.
In his remarks, the Director stated that Polibatam is actively developing machine learning, semiconductor technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of strengthening the campus technocenter. Various research activities, production processes, and public services increasingly rely on reliable, secure, and high-performance computing capabilities.
The Founder of PT Bias Surya Teknologi, Linda Hoega, who has established collaboration with Politeknik Negeri Batam, also delivered remarks highlighting the importance of sustainable synergy between industry and educational institutions. According to her, strategic collaboration is key to cultivating outstanding talents who are adaptive to technological advancements and future industry needs.
During the discussion session, Imam Munajat elaborated on the strategic role of AI in both education and industry, ranging from personalized learning and optimized management systems to enhanced productivity and operational efficiency. The discussion proceeded interactively through a question-and-answer session, further reinforcing the shared commitment to building a collaborative ecosystem that supports technology-driven educational transformation.
This collaboration represents Polibatam’s concrete step in strengthening the link and match between vocational education and industry, while ensuring the readiness of competitive and competent digital talents in the era of technological transformation.
