JEJAKU Application: Calculate Your Carbon Footprint, Create a Greener Future
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) continues to promote a green campus culture through the use of digital innovation that supports a low-carbon lifestyle. One of these efforts is introduced through the JEJAKU application, a platform that helps users calculate the carbon footprint generated from their daily travel activities.
The JEJAKU application supports the Green Campus program and strengthens sustainability indicators within UI GreenMetric. Through this application, users can calculate carbon emissions from various transportation options, compare the emission impact of each travel mode, and choose more environmentally friendly transportation alternatives.
JEJAKU encourages the academic community and the wider public to become more aware that simple choices in daily travel can have a significant impact on the environment. Using public transportation, cycling, walking, or choosing low-emission transportation modes are small steps that can contribute to reducing carbon footprints.
In addition to calculating travel carbon footprints, JEJAKU also serves as an educational platform to raise awareness about sustainable transportation.
