Explore Polibatam’s Outstanding Facilities through a Campus Tour Created by Multimedia Engineering Technology Students
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has released a campus tour video inviting the public, particularly prospective students, to take a closer look at the outstanding facilities available across its academic departments. Through the video entitled “Exploring Polibatam’s Facilities—They’re More Impressive Than You Think!”, two Polibatam students guide viewers through a modern, practical vocational learning environment that is closely aligned with industry needs.
The video introduces viewers to a wide range of learning facilities, including laboratories, multimedia studios, robotics rooms, workshops, and an aircraft hangar. These facilities provide students with spaces to apply the knowledge gained during their studies while developing competencies relevant to their respective fields.
Polibatam’s learning facilities are not only used for practical sessions but also serve as spaces where students develop innovative projects through the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. Through this approach, students are trained to work collaboratively, solve real-world problems, develop creativity, and produce products and solutions that respond to the needs of society and industry.
The availability of laboratories, workshops, studios, robotics rooms, and an aircraft hangar reflects Polibatam’s commitment to providing vocational education that balances theoretical understanding with practical skills. Students gain hands-on learning experiences by using equipment and working in environments designed to support the development of professional competencies.
The campus tour video also provides prospective students with an overview of the learning atmosphere at Polibatam. Each facility is designed to support exploration, collaboration, experimentation, and the development of student projects across various study programmes.
Interestingly, the video was produced as a PBL project by students of the Multimedia Engineering Technology Study Programme. It was created by Team 1 PBL TRM 608 and demonstrates the students’ competencies in media production, information delivery, visual creativity, and digital communication.
Through this project, the students not only introduce Polibatam’s campus facilities but also demonstrate how project-based learning can produce informative content that benefits the wider community. The video is expected to help prospective students become more familiar with Polibatam and gain a clearer understanding of the facilities that will support their academic journey.
