Digital Synergy: Polibatam Welcomes Visit from BBLSDM Komdigi Medan

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) officially received a visit from Balai Besar Pelatihan Sumber Daya Manusia Komunikasi dan Digital Medan (BBLSDM Komdigi Medan) on Thursday, 26 February 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration in enhancing the capacity of information technology human resources within the vocational education environment. The delegation was led by the Acting Head of BBLSDM Komdigi Medan, Mrs. Christiany Juditha, and was warmly welcomed by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam, Mr. Bambang Hendrawan, along with the management team at the Polibatam Campus, Batam Kota.

Collaboration Focus: Certification and Digital Literacy
During the meeting, Mrs. Christiany Juditha explained that the training programs offered have strong relevance to the academic curriculum.

“The materials we offer are aligned with the SKKNI (Indonesian National Work Competency Standards). Therefore, Komdigi is present to provide certification for students as part of their development at the end of the semester. We hope this program will provide insight through independent learning methods for the community and Polibatam students,” said Mrs. Christiany.

The main focus of this coordination is the implementation of the 2026 Microskill Training Program, an independent digital-based initiative that includes modules, videos, and interactive quizzes. A total of 100 Polibatam students are targeted to actively participate in this program to face the dynamic challenges of the workforce.

Polibatam as an Industry and Talent Hub
The Director of Polibatam, Mr. Bambang Hendrawan, welcomed this initiative as a strategic step for a campus with a unique geographical position. He explained that Polibatam currently has four departments and 25 study programs, all designed according to industry needs at the local Batam, national, and international levels.

“It is a blessing for Polibatam because our campus is located directly alongside industry. However, to maintain this quality, Polibatam greatly needs support from Komdigi in enhancing human resource knowledge, particularly through microskill development and various training programs available at Komdigi,” emphasized Mr. Bambang.

Towards National Digital Transformation
This meeting also served as a momentum to discuss supporting facilities for activities within the campus area. This synergy represents a concrete step in supporting the acceleration of national digital transformation through the vocational education sector.

Thank you for the visit and the positive collaboration from BBLSDM Komdigi Medan. May this partnership continue to grow in producing outstanding digital talents from the Riau Islands who are ready to compete on the global stage.

Polibatam Greetings!
