Announcement of the Polibatam PKKMB 2026 Program

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has officially announced the series of activities for the 2026 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), which is mandatory for all new students enrolled in both the Regular Morning and Regular Evening Programs. The program serves as an important first step for new students to become familiar with the campus environment, academic system, learning culture, student services, and various student activities at Polibatam.

According to Polibatam’s official announcement dated August 11, 2026, new students in the Regular Morning Program are required to participate in PKKMB from August 17–23, 2026. They are also required to attend the Pagelaran Teknovasi (PBL Expo), scheduled for August 31–September 2, 2026. Meanwhile, new students in the Regular Evening Program will participate in PKKMB on August 18–19, 2026.

The PKKMB program is designed to provide new students with a comprehensive understanding of both academic and non-academic life at Polibatam. A wide range of activities has been prepared, including the opening ceremony, campus and department orientation, introduction to the academic system, occupational health, safety, and environmental practices (K3L), as well as information on various programs and policies that support students throughout their learning journey.

New students will also receive sessions on the Pancasila Student Profile, financial and digital literacy, bullying and violence prevention, growth mindset, drug abuse prevention, anti-corruption awareness, and the Integrity Zone toward WBK/WBBM. The program will also introduce the Student Creativity Program (PKM), Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW), Outstanding Student Program, the use of artificial intelligence for learning, and student achievements across Polibatam’s academic departments.

The PKKMB program also includes activities aimed at strengthening character and fostering a sense of community, including interfaith prayer sessions according to students’ respective religions, an introduction to student organizations, a campus tour, and personal branding sessions. At the end of the program, new students will take the Polibatam Student Oath and Pledge as part of the official closing ceremony of PKKMB 2026.

For students in the Regular Morning Program, activities will be divided into two shifts based on academic departments. Shift 1 is designated for new students from the Department of Business Management and the Department of Electrical Engineering, while Shift 2 is designated for students from the Department of Informatics Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. This arrangement is intended to ensure the smooth implementation of the overall program.

Meanwhile, students in the Regular Evening Program are required to attend PKKMB activities in person. On August 18, 2026, the program will be attended by new students from the Department of Business Management and the Department of Electrical Engineering. On August 19, 2026, activities will be held for new students from the Department of Informatics Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Following the completion of PKKMB and Pagelaran Teknovasi, new students will officially begin their first classes of the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year on Monday, September 7, 2026. All new students are expected to attend each scheduled activity and stay updated on further information provided by the organizing committee.

Through PKKMB 2026, Polibatam aims to prepare new students for their journey in higher vocational education by helping them understand the campus environment and academic culture while developing the qualities of active, adaptive, and responsible students with strong integrity and a readiness to grow throughout their studies.
