BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) officially welcomed the opening of the KB Bank Batam Sub-Branch Office on campus. The soft opening was held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, on the first floor of Polibatam’s Main Building.

The event, which began at 8:30 a.m. WIB, was attended by Polibatam leaders and members of the academic community, together with representatives from KB Bank Batam. The presence of an on-campus banking service is expected to provide students, lecturers, and administrative staff with easier, more practical, and efficient access to financial transactions and banking services.

The Director of Polibatam expressed appreciation and support for the establishment of the KB Bank Sub-Branch Office on campus. According to him, the presence of the banking service is expected not only to improve access to financial services, but also to create broader opportunities for collaboration between higher education and the banking sector.

“Polibatam warmly welcomes the presence of the KB Bank Sub-Branch Office on campus. We hope this service will provide easier access to banking services for the entire academic community, while also opening broader opportunities for collaboration in financial literacy, talent development, and programs that create tangible benefits for students and the institution,” he said.

The presence of the KB Bank Sub-Branch Office at Polibatam is part of efforts to strengthen a more integrated campus service ecosystem. In addition to supporting daily financial transactions, on-campus banking services are also expected to improve the academic community’s understanding of financial management and modern banking services.

This collaboration also reflects stronger synergy between higher education and the banking industry in providing services that are closer to the needs of the campus community. In the future, potential areas of collaboration may include financial education and literacy, student competency development, talent development programs, and other initiatives relevant to the evolving needs of the workforce.

Through the establishment of the KB Bank Batam Sub-Branch Office at Polibatam, both institutions are expected to continue strengthening collaboration that goes beyond financial services and creates sustainable benefits for students, the academic community, and the institution as a whole.
