Polibatam Strengthens International Project-Based Internship Collaboration with Neural Drive and PT Kelola Digital

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) is preparing to open a new chapter in strengthening technology-based industry collaboration. Through a planned partnership with Neural Drive and PT Kelola Digital, Polibatam aims to develop an international project-based internship ecosystem designed to connect students with real challenges in the future digital industry.

This collaboration is a strategic step for Polibatam in expanding students’ learning opportunities, particularly in the fields of multimedia, informatics, and electronics. The planned program will not only focus on internship activities, but also provide students with the opportunity to be directly involved in industry projects, develop technology-based solutions, and build professional portfolios during their studies.

Director of PT Kelola Digital, Rizal Hilman, stated that Neural Drive and PT Kelola Digital are scheduled to visit Batam at the end of July 2026 to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Polibatam. Under this collaboration scheme, PT Kelola Digital will serve as the local representative, while Neural Drive will focus on the recruitment process and the provision of internship projects for students.

This collaboration is becoming increasingly relevant as the products to be developed will focus on the field of e-health medical technology, a rapidly growing sector that requires digital talents who are able to combine technological skills, creativity, and an understanding of community needs.

Head of the Informatics Department of Polibatam, Hamim, said that this planned collaboration presents a great opportunity for students to broaden their experience, sharpen their competencies, and take part in the development of impactful technology products. He added that the program also opens up space for cross-disciplinary collaboration among students to produce works that are relevant to industry needs.

“This collaboration is expected to serve as a bridge for Polibatam students to gain more practical project experience while strengthening their competencies in facing the development of the digital industry,” he said.

Through this planned collaboration, Polibatam continues to reinforce its commitment as a vocational higher education institution that is adaptive to technological advancement and global industry needs. This international project-based internship program is expected to become one of Polibatam’s concrete efforts to produce competent, innovative, and globally competitive digital talents.
