Polibatam Actively Participates in GENBI Kepri Capacity Building 2026

BATAM – A total of 55 Bank Indonesia Scholarship recipients from Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), together with students from other higher education institutions in Kepulauan Riau, participated in the Generasi Baru Indonesia (GENBI) Kepri Capacity Building 2026. The activity was held on June 3–5, 2026, at the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam.

This program served as a platform to strengthen the capacity of Bank Indonesia Scholarship recipients by enhancing their knowledge of central banking, digital skills, public speaking abilities, and soft skills development. Through this activity, the participants are expected to become agents of change who can contribute positively to both the campus environment and the wider community.

The opening ceremony was officially held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Raja Haji Fisabilillah Room, 3rd Floor, Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Kepulauan Riau Province. The event was attended by leaders of partner higher education institutions, including the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam, Ir. Bambang Hendrawan, S.T., M.S.M., CIPMP., CISCP. His presence reflected Polibatam’s institutional support for student competency development, particularly for Bank Indonesia Scholarship recipients who are members of GENBI.

Throughout the program, participants received various capacity-building materials. One of the sessions focused on content creation, delivered by the Socrates Creator Academy Team. In this session, students gained insights into personal branding, audience identification, idea planning, content production, and basic editing techniques.

In addition, participants also attended a central banking session that covered several important topics, including the latest economic overview, Cinta Bangga Paham Rupiah (CBP), QRIS, and PeKA as part of digital payment system innovation. Through this activity, Polibatam hopes that Bank Indonesia Scholarship recipients will continue to be active, adaptive, creative, and capable of making a meaningful impact on society.
