Polibatam Welcomes Educational Visit from TK/RA Pelita Ilmu to Introduce Vocational Education at an Early Age

BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) once again served as an inspiring educational destination by welcoming a cheerful visit from students of TK/Raudatul Athfal (RA) Pelita Ilmu. This visit aimed to provide early childhood learners with insights and an introduction to vocational education through interactive and enjoyable hands-on experiences.

The activity began with an exploration of the Polibatam Aircraft Hangar, where the group was welcomed by the team from the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Study Program (TPPU). At this location, the children were introduced to various aviation learning facilities, learned basic functions of aircraft in a simple and engaging way, and were given a rare opportunity to board an aircraft. This experience is expected to spark their imagination and inspire future aspirations in the field of aviation from an early age.

The journey continued to the Technopreneur Centre Building, where the students gathered in the Tanjung Piayu Room (Grand Theater). They were presented with a screening of the animated film Ficusia, a prestigious work created by Polibatam students that has gained international recognition. Alongside the screening, both teachers and students were introduced to the concept of Project-Based Learning (PBL), which serves as one of the key strengths of the institution.

Through this educational visit, it is hoped that the students of TK/RA Pelita Ilmu will gain meaningful impressions and early inspiration in shaping their interests and future educational paths. Polibatam remains committed to opening its doors to younger generations—even from an early age—to experience and understand the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.
