Chevening Scholarship Programme (S2/Master’s Degree in the UK)

INFO-Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. The scholarships offer the opportunity to study for a one-year master’s degree at any of the UK’s leading universities, and are awarded to established outstanding, or future, leaders across a wide range of fields.

The programme provides a unique opportunity for tomorrow’s leaders to build a global network of continuing professional significance and also to establish social, cultural, academic, or commercial partnerships with the UK.

The FCDO are pleased to be able to offer scholarships across the globe, including in Indonesia. We are therefore exploring all possibilities in-country to increase awareness of the programme and to encourage applications from a wider range of would-be scholars from across the country.
To hear more about the Chevening Scholarship Programme I would like to invite you and your institution to a Chevening Launching which will be held on:

Applications for a Chevening Scholarship must be submitted online from 2 August 2022 at www.chevening.org/apply with a final deadline applications by 1 November 2022 at 12:00 GMT (UK time). Applications received after this date will not be processed.

Applicants should read the online guidance and demonstrate how they meet the Chevening selection criteria before submitting an application. If they have further questions about the programme they can use the contact us function on the website www.chevening.org/contact-us Your assistance in promoting the programme within your institution would be greatly appreciated and I would be grateful if you could direct those whom you consider would make excellent Chevening candidates to chevening.org/apply. If you wish to receive Chevening promotional materials to help with this please contact Rowena Rompas ([email protected]) or Stella Sekarpuri at ([email protected] to discuss this further.

Whilst Chevening Scholarships are predominantly funded by the UK Government, we are keen to explore alternative sources of funding that could complement the UK Government grant and further increase the number of scholarships to be awarded to one particular country. Partnership scholarships are an excellent way to maximise the funding available and can bring direct benefits to each of the funding parties.

Partnerships can be discussed directly with Nick Faulkner ([email protected]) and Rowena Rompas ([email protected]) and we would welcome you to contact us to explore further.
