Polibatam Opens Student Admissions for Even Semester 2026/2027 through RPL, Professional Engineer, and Master’s Programs
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has officially opened student admissions for the Even Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year through three educational pathways: Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI), and the Master’s Program. Registration is open from October 5 to December 31, 2026, providing opportunities for prospective students, working professionals, and university graduates to pursue higher education and advance their academic and professional qualifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an educational pathway that recognizes learning outcomes acquired through formal, non-formal, and informal education, as well as professional experience. Through an assessment process, previously acquired knowledge and skills may be recognized toward fulfilling the learning requirements of a particular study program. For the upcoming semester, Polibatam offers the RPL pathway for the Goods Distribution Study Program.
Meanwhile, the Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI) is designed for bachelor’s or applied bachelor’s degree holders who meet the eligibility requirements in engineering. The program aims to develop professional competencies by strengthening technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional ethics in accordance with engineering standards. It also provides a pathway toward obtaining the professional Engineer (Ir.) designation under applicable Indonesian regulations.
The Master’s Program offers postgraduate education for bachelor’s and applied bachelor’s degree graduates seeking to deepen their expertise, enhance analytical capabilities, and develop advanced technological skills. Polibatam offers the Master of Applied Computer Engineering Program, which focuses on advanced computer engineering applications, particularly embedded systems that integrate hardware and software technologies.
According to the admissions schedule, document verification will take place from January 4–8, 2027, followed by assessments from January 11–29, 2027. Subsequent stages include the announcement of selection results, an appeal period, and student enrollment confirmation. New student orientation is scheduled for February 22–26, 2027, while classes are expected to begin on March 12, 2027. All dates are tentative and subject to change.
