SMOKE HAZE PRECAUTION NOTICE

BATAM — The academic community of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) is urged to stay alert to smoke haze and check air quality before going outdoors. Updates are available from official sources, including the BMKG air quality page for Batam.

If air quality reaches the unhealthy category, members of the academic community are advised to reduce or avoid outdoor activities, especially those that are not essential. If going outdoors is necessary, wear an appropriate mask to help reduce exposure to smoke particles.

Polibatam encourages everyone to protect their health and safety while helping maintain a safe campus environment. Stay alert, follow guidance from the relevant authorities, and make health a priority.

PM2.5 air quality information for Batam is available on the BMKG website: https://www.bmkg.go.id/kualitas-udara/pm25/pm25_btm2.
