Polibatam Welcomes UiTM Malaysia to Strengthen Synergy and Explore International Collaboration

BATAM — Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) welcomed a delegation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen academic relations and explore strategic collaboration between the two higher education institutions.

The program began with a warm and cordial opening session. Both institutions expressed their appreciation for the meeting and hope that it will serve as a positive first step toward strengthening vocational education collaboration in the region.

During the presentation session, Polibatam introduced its institutional profile, achievements, implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL), and campus innovation ecosystem. The UiTM Malaysia delegation also presented its academic strengths, research focus, and internationalization initiatives.

The program continued with a souvenir exchange as a gesture of appreciation and commitment to building stronger institutional ties. The session concluded with a group photo involving the leaders and delegates from both institutions.

The UiTM Malaysia delegation then joined a campus tour to explore Polibatam’s learning and innovation facilities. The visit included the engineering workshop area, the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hangar for aircraft maintenance, Polibatam Store as a center for commercializing student innovations, and the Batam Innovation and Learning Lab, which supports research collaboration on campus.
