Polibatam and BPJPH West Sumatra Hold Training to Strengthen Halal Product Assistance

BATAM — Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) welcomed a visit from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of West Sumatra Province on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The event was held at 10:00 a.m. WIB in Room 301, third floor of Polibatam’s Main Building, and focused on providing guidance on halal product assurance to Halal Product Process (PPH) assistants at Polibatam.

The session was attended by Polibatam’s Vice Director III and the team from the Halal Product Process Assistance Institution (LP3H). It provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination and improve PPH assistants’ understanding of their responsibilities and the requirements governing their work.

During the event, Mr. Nuyanto expressed hope that socialization, guidance, and training for PPH assistants could be held more regularly. He noted that some assistants were not yet fully familiar with the latest requirements, making ongoing guidance important to help them carry out their duties in accordance with applicable regulations.

Mr. Nuyanto also proposed holding regular discussion forums to address challenges encountered during the assistance process. The forums could serve as a space to share experiences, raise issues from the field, and seek solutions together to improve the quality of support provided to business operators.

Through this guidance, PPH assistants are expected to be better prepared to provide accurate information and help business operators understand the requirements of the halal product process. Stronger coordination between Polibatam’s LP3H team and relevant stakeholders is also expected to support more focused assistance.

Polibatam welcomed the visit as an opportunity to strengthen the capacity of PPH assistants. Ongoing socialization, training, and discussion are expected to contribute to the development of the halal ecosystem and benefit both business operators and the wider community.
