BATAM — Enjoy playing games and curious about how immersive experiences are created? Take a closer look at the facilities of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Game Technology program, Department of Informatics Engineering, at Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam). Located in the Technopreneur Building, the virtual reality (VR) equipment and driving simulator provide an engaging setting for exploring game technology.

Photographs of the room show VR equipment featuring a headset, controllers, and a standing platform with a body support frame. This setup illustrates how interaction with virtual worlds can extend beyond a screen, offering opportunities to explore the relationship between user movement, controls, and experiences within digital environments.

Another highlight is a driving simulator equipped with a racing-style seat, a safety harness, a steering wheel, pedals, a gear shifter, and multiple screens. The setup demonstrates how different components can work together to create a simulated driving experience. For aspiring game developers, facilities like these offer opportunities to understand the importance of responsive controls and user comfort.

Behind every engaging gaming experience is a combination of creative and technical processes. Game development requires attention to concepts, visual design, programming, and user interaction. Through practical activities aligned with learning objectives, VR equipment and simulators can provide a setting for exploring ideas, testing interactions, and evaluating gameplay experiences.
