ICAE 2026 Comes to Batam, Advancing Research Collaboration and Innovation in Applied Engineering
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) will once again host an international scientific forum through The 9th International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE) 2026, which will be held on November 19–20, 2026, in Batam, Indonesia, in a hybrid conference format. The conference invites researchers, academics, practitioners, and professionals to present research findings, exchange ideas, and expand collaborative networks in the field of applied engineering.
ICAE 2026 carries the theme “Advancing Human-Machine Synergy through Semiconductor and AI Innovation for Sustainable Development.” The theme highlights the growing synergy between humans and machines through semiconductor innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support sustainable development. Through this conference, Polibatam aims to encourage knowledge exchange and strengthen research collaboration in addressing current and future technological and industrial challenges.
ICAE 2026 provides several publication opportunities for participants. For the IEEE Proceedings, three clusters are available: Electrical & Electronics, Informatics & AI, and Electromechanical & Mechatronics. In addition, the conference offers a SINTA Journal Special Section covering Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.
The international conference will also feature distinguished keynote speakers from academia and industry, including Prof. Tuo-Hung (Alex) Hou from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Prof. Yang Chai from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Andri Mahendra, R&D Engineer and Founder of Nicslab. Their participation is expected to provide valuable insights into recent developments in technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and applied engineering.
Prospective participants are encouraged to take note of several important dates: Full Paper Submission by September 30, 2026, Notification of Acceptance on October 26, 2026, and Final Manuscript & Payment by November 6, 2026.
