Polibatam Makes History, Secures Third Overall at PORSENI XV 2026
BATAM – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has once again achieved a remarkable milestone at the national level by securing Third Overall Place at the 15th National Polytechnic Student Sports and Arts Competition (PORSENI XV) 2026. The prestigious competition among polytechnics was held at Politeknik Negeri Medan from July 24 to August 1, 2026, bringing together more than 1,500 students from 48 polytechnics across Indonesia.
This achievement marks a historic milestone for Polibatam and demonstrates the ability of its students to compete and excel not only in academics and technology, but also in sports and the arts. Polibatam students delivered outstanding performances across various competition categories, earning numerous medals throughout the event.
Polibatam Director, Bambang Hendrawan, expressed his appreciation to all students, athletes, performers, coaches, officials, and supporting teams who worked hard to represent Polibatam at the national level.
“This is an outstanding achievement that proves Polibatam students not only excel in academics and technology, but also possess strong competitiveness and a winning mentality in sports and the arts,” Bambang said.
The success of the Polibatam contingent was also supported by continuous coaching and mentoring. Polibatam Vice Director III for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni, Muhammad Zaenuddin, supported the contingent throughout the selection process, pre-competition preparation, and mentoring during PORSENI XV 2026.
In the arts categories, Polibatam students delivered impressive performances and secured several gold medals. Jefri R. Sihombing won gold in the Men’s Pop Solo Song category, while Josua A. Manaping earned gold in the Men’s Batak Traditional Solo Song category. Gold medals were also awarded to Muhammad R. Pratama in Stand-Up Comedy and Imam Maulana in On-the-Spot Photography.
Archery also became one of Polibatam’s major medal-contributing sports. Syahdan Syahruddin secured gold in the Men’s 70-Meter Recurve Division, while Raihan Z. Islam won gold in the Men’s 50-Meter Compound Division.
Outstanding achievements also came from athletics. Alysha Ardyanti delivered an exceptional performance by winning two gold medals in the Women’s 100-Meter and 200-Meter races. Meanwhile, M. Cristyan M. Dolle earned a silver medal in the Men’s 100-Meter race.
In martial arts, Wendy Setiawan won a gold medal in the Taekwondo Kyorugi Under 58 kg category. Polibatam also earned a silver medal through Ariella A. A. Ardea and a bronze medal through Anju M. Nadeak in taekwondo.
In pencak silat, Asnan R. Benarvio secured a gold medal, while Anggitia M. T. Kharisma earned silver. Polibatam’s medal tally was further strengthened by achievements in karate and kempo through Muhammad T. Aksa, Sanggam D. Pangaribuan, Dicky S. H. Lubis, Naufal R. Fadillah, and Ridwan Gazali.
Securing Third Overall Place at PORSENI XV 2026 reflects Polibatam’s consistent commitment to supporting the comprehensive development of its students. Beyond academic achievement, Polibatam continues to provide opportunities for students to develop their talents, creativity, sportsmanship, and competitive abilities through various student activities.
