Polibatam Student Wins Best Environmental Awareness Award at the 2026 Encik & Puan Batam City Tourism Ambassador Election

BATAM – Another proud achievement has been made by a student of Politeknik Negeri Batam. Harya Gilang Bagaskara, a student of the Bachelor of Applied Science Program in Shipbuilding Construction Engineering Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, won the Best Environmental Awareness award at the 2026 Encik & Puan Batam City Tourism Ambassador Election.

This achievement reflects that Polibatam students excel not only in academics, technology, and vocational skills, but also demonstrate strong concern for environmental issues, tourism, and sustainable regional development. Through this event, Harya showed the commitment of young generations in promoting the importance of environmental awareness as part of Batam City’s tourism development.

This accomplishment is also in line with Polibatam’s commitment to encouraging students to actively develop their potential, both on campus and in the wider community. Student participation in the Tourism Ambassador Election is a meaningful contribution to building a positive image of young people who are confident, caring, and capable of becoming agents of change.
