Polibatam Strengthens Green Industry Link and Match, Supports the Launch of the Jingchu Workshop with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Kemenko PMK)
JAKARTA – Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening industry-based vocational education by supporting the launch of the Green Project “Jingchu Workshop.” This Indonesia–China collaborative program was held in Jakarta and marks a concrete step in developing vocational human resources (HR) in the green energy sector on February 10, 2026, in Jakarta.
The activity, coordinated by Hope International, brought together representatives from the education sector, industry, and government of both countries. The event opened with an Indonesian cultural performance that reflected the spirit of collaboration and friendship between nations.
The Director of Polibatam, Ir. Bambang Hendrawan, ST., MSM., CIPMP., CISCP., emphasized that Polibatam’s participation in this program is part of the institution’s strategy to ensure the practical implementation of the link and match concept.
“Polibatam is committed to ensuring that vocational education is truly connected to the real needs of industry. Students and graduates must have clear pathways to be directly absorbed into the workforce, with opportunities to hold both technical and strategic positions in the industrial sector,” emphasized Bambang.
The Indonesian government’s support for this program was conveyed virtually by the Deputy Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (PMK), Ojat Darojat, and was attended in person by the Assistant Deputy of Kemenko PMK, Katiman. In his remarks, Kemenko PMK emphasized that the implementation of the Jingchu Workshop aligns with Presidential Regulation Number 68 of 2022 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Training.
According to Katiman, synergy between educational institutions and the industrial sector, including international partners, is key to enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesia’s human resources, particularly in responding to the transformation of the green industry.
