Socialization of Student Internship Preparation Program
Even Semester Academic Year 2025/2026

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Internship Preparation Program for the Even Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026 was successfully conducted, beginning at 7:00 PM (WIB) until completion. This activity serves as an essential part of the academic preparation process before students engage directly with the industry.

The program was attended by Diploma 3 and Diploma 4 students who will undertake industrial internships as a mandatory component of their academic curriculum. Participants came from the Robotics Engineering (TRE), Mechatronics, Robotics, Welding, and Mechanical Engineering study programs.

The session featured Ms. Shinta Wahyu Hati, S.Sos., M.AB, representing the PPKPT Task Force, as the keynote speaker. During the session, she delivered materials aimed at strengthening students’ mental readiness, professional ethics, and overall professionalism prior to entering the workplace environment.

Through this socialization session, the PPKPT Task Force also delivered important advisories as part of mitigation and prevention efforts against potential violence in the workplace. Students were provided with an understanding of various forms of violence that may occur during their internship period. This knowledge is expected to help them recognize early warning signs, avoid risky situations, and take appropriate action if they encounter unsafe conditions.

Throughout their industrial internship, students are expected to maintain professional conduct, uphold ethical standards, and prioritize personal safety. The PPKPT Task Force of Politeknik Negeri Batam also emphasized the importance of vigilance and encouraged students to utilize official reporting channels should they experience or become aware of any acts of violence within the internship environment.

This preparation program aims to reinforce students’ understanding, cultivate professional attitudes, and enhance their readiness to carry out internships in accordance with applicable academic regulations.

The event was also facilitated by the Career Development Center (CDC) of Politeknik Negeri Batam, which provided support and collaborative space alongside the PPKPT Task Force in promoting violence prevention awareness within industrial internship settings. This synergy is expected to create a safe, comfortable, and professional internship experience for all students.
