Polibatam Promotes Healthy Living Awareness through Health Education and Services

BATAM — Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), in collaboration with Risio Clinic, organized a Health Education and Medical Check-up program for members of the academic community as part of its efforts to raise awareness of the importance of preventive healthcare. The activity was held on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, at the Polibatam campus.

The event commenced at 09.00 WIB with an opening session delivered by a representative of Politeknik Negeri Batam. This was followed by a series of relevant and practical health education sessions. The first presentation, entitled “Oral and Dental Health,” was delivered by drg. Diandra, Sp.KG, who emphasized the importance of proper dental and oral care as an integral part of overall health.

The program continued with a session on “Adult Vaccination,” presented by dr. Rizki Amanda Ekasari. During this session, participants gained insights into the role of vaccination in maintaining immune system resilience and preventing infectious diseases in adulthood. Participant enthusiasm was evident during the interactive question-and-answer session, where various health-related topics were discussed.

Following the discussion session, the event concluded with a group photo as documentation of the collaboration between speakers, organizers, and participants. As part of the direct health services provided, Polibatam and Risio Clinic also offered free blood glucose testing for 50 participants. The medical examinations were conducted by the healthcare team consisting of dr. Rizki Amanda Ekasari, Eka Novita, S.Kep, and Nike Ardila, S.KM.

Through this initiative, Polibatam hopes to encourage members of the academic community to be more attentive to their personal health and to adopt healthy lifestyles as part of their daily routines. This collaboration also reflects Polibatam’s commitment to fostering a healthy, productive, and sustainable campus environment.
